Many tutorials back online

Hi everyone. I've just uploaded all of the Basic tutorials section, the Animated tutorials and the Image Creation tutorials. These are tutorials for all of the programs I write for, PSP, Photoshop-Photoshop Elements, PhotoImpact and GimpShop. I hope to get started on the translated tutorials tomorrow, many of them can go back online with a minimum of editing.
Tutorial index is here: http://www.ellies-treasures.com/tutorials/tutorials.html
We were supposed to be camping this week but John canceled as he thought it would be too hot for myself and the kitty. So I got started on these tutorials first thing this morning and have been working on them all day. Have a great evening!

June desktop calendar up, some desktop wallpaper, and some tutorials

Hi everyone. I hope you're having a nice weekend?
I've just finished the June desktop calendars, I have 8 for you to choose from, 4 with graphics on them and 4 just the textured background and the calendar. I also have 11 new desktop wallpapers for you.
I have been quiet lately but that's because I'm working on editing all of my tutorials and getting them back online. I'm working on the Background tutorials at the moment as I thought they would need the least copyright editing, but some do and most are in the old style pages that I did when I first started, so I'm updating the look of the pages at the same time. I'm doing the tuts as I edit them and have found some that I've improved since I know so much more now! So it's all for your benefit.
It was slow going for the last couple of weeks as I was having trouble with the server that I was uploading to, about 90% of the files ended up with a socket error, a dead connection, etc most of them after uploading to 100% so then they would start over again and I'd have to sit right by the computer to check whether I wanted it to skip or overwrite. It was a huuuuge pain, but the last few days it has been excellent, very fast and no errors. I thought I was going to have to bail on this host and find another one but it's been very good now! Now it's the host that's hosting my stationery section I'm having trouble with. I suddenly can't log in there, says my credentials are wrong but they're the same ones I've been logging in with all along. That just started so I'll have to see how it goes. But I can't do anything about my stationery at the moment. I'm too busy trying to get the tuts online anyway! That's my way-too-lengthy story! LOL
Enjoy the calendars and the wallpaper, check out the tuts I have online so far. Here are the links
 Desktop Calendars
 New Wallpaper
 Tile Tutorials
I also have these tuts back online:
Making 3D Text (such as in Font previews, I also use this technique sometimes on my tags)
Add an animation, picture or webpage to  your desktop (I wrote this mainly for people wanting to add my blinkie calendars to their desktop, but it is a very useful tutorial to add other items as well)
I also have my font tutorials back online here
Our first camping trip is coming up, second week of June. I always take my laptop and my netbook with me and usually work on site stuff while I'm gone so hopefully I'll get lots done then, with no distractions. No internet though so I can't look up copyright stuff, etc while I'm gone. Have to work on hubby to get some satellite internet or a Rocket Stick from Rogers! Maybe when we're done paying off our brand new trailer! We graduated from a pop-up tent trailer to a full-fledged travel trailer this year, with a Murphy Bed that folds up to the wall and a bathroom with WALLS!!! LOL
 Have a great weekend everyone!

Fonts section completed and uploaded

Hi everyone. My entire fonts sections is back online now. I just finished uploading all of the pages and testing the links. I'm not sure if the host will have to review all of the files again or not but if you get the review message, that's what's going on. I don't think they have to review each time but mentioning it just in case.
Fonts are here:
http://www.ellies-treasures2.webuda.com/fonts/fonts.html

Another thing I wanted to mention is that a few people have mentioned to me that Norton's is blocking my site. I just wanted to assure you that my site is completely safe. I have AVG running on my computer at all times and I also Googled my sites and all of my page hits were rated trusted and safe by AVG in Google. I really dislike Norton's, it often gives false positives and it often causes computer problems. You couldn't pay me enough to use any of their products. My husband and I used to repair computers and the first thing we asked was, do you have Norton's on it? If the answer was yes, we uninstalled it and 9 times out of 10 the computer problems cleared up. Each to their own, but I don't like it! LOL

While I appreciate your input on anything else, please don't write to tell me I should love Norton's because you do. I won't, honest. Cross my heart!!

Anyway, back to the problem. Those who allowed my site through despite Norton's are having no problems with it. My webhost also checks all files for malicious content, which is why we had the long wait to have my site reviewed and approved. So no worries, my site is completely safe.

I think I may be working on the tutorial section next. Since my stationery and wallpaper pages have the New wallpaper and New Stationery pages up, I can put all my new stuff there till I get the rest of the sections edited and uploaded. That's going to take quite awhile as each copyright compliant graphic I used before has to be redone to add the copyright info and license info where applicable. The ones that I cannot use at all, I'll have to either get rid of or redo the entire stationery and wallpaper with new tubes/graphics.

And of course, being the end of the month, I have to get the May calendars done.

Whew, startin' to sweat, thinking about it!!

Have a great day!

4 Translations done and lots of new stationery

I've got 4 translations done for you, that's right, a whopping 4 of them! LOL
2 of Duchessa's beautiful blends and 2 of Futura's cute animated tags.
I finished them for the most part during the summer while on my trip and then just didn't have the energy to get them online, but feeling guilty here, so thought I'd get them done!
Stationery to match is also done and online, wallpaper coming next.
Click this link for New Stationery
Here are some small examples of the tutorials and the links.
You can't see it here, as blogger (for me anyway) doesn't show the animation, but they're all animated, but you can do them either way. I did!
Gold (Duchessa)

Love Blend (Duchessa)

And I'll Love You Always (Futura)

Don't Stop The Music (Futura)

New translation uploaded-scrap tag

I've just added a new translation from Steffi's Tutorials, called Greetings, a scrap tag.

Here's a small example.

I hope you like it!
I've also agreed to translate for Grafica di Duchessa, an Italian site, so look for those as soon as I get one done. If you go to her site, don't worry about the little popup window. It's only to ask you to vote, so just either say ok to vote or cancel to close the window. Nothing will happen.
We'll be gone camping for 5 weeks, from the end of July to the end of August, so you won't see any updates from me during that time, but I'll be doing translations on my laptop while I'm gone so I hope to have quite a bit to share with you when I get home again. Have a great week!

New translated tutorials, more link corrections, thanks from me

Hi everyone. I've just added two new translations for PSP. One is a scrap tag called Romantic Scrap by Jet of PSP Tutorials by Jet,
here is a small example:

The other is a scrap tag as well, called Grungy Elegance by Lien of X-Clusive Designz
Here is a small example:

Lien has also changed her site address for those that lost track of where it went, and also Marynez of PSPIArtes has just changed her site address. Click on the links in their site names here to get to their new sites. The addresses have been fixed in their index pages on my site as well as each translated tutorial.
I still have a few more translations that are nearly done to work on. We are going to visit family later this week for a couple of days, but I'll get them done as soon as possible.
I've also found out from some site visitors that FontLoader, mentioned in my Managing Fonts tutorial, is no longer at the link I provided. I went and checked and it is there, but it's incorporated into another freeware program there called ShellTools. I've corrected the link to download that program. It's a fantastic program and I use it daily.
I want to take this opportunity to thank those who so generously have donated to my site over the past couple of years. I have bought a membership for a tutorial site I love, called Carolaine and Sensibility, which I mentioned before, and just recently bought a number of tubes so I can freely use them without worrying that I'll have to remove the tutorials or stationery and wallpaper later. And I'm saving enough of it to help pay for my website renewal and domain name renewal when they come due. I really appreciate those of you who have helped me out with this. Thanks from the bottom of my heart. Even those that can donate just a dollar, it all helps me tremendously. I'm retired on a disability so I have no other income of my own coming in, so you can understand how much this helps.
Till next time, keep smiling! Makes people wonder what you've been up to! LOL

link correction and latest news

I just changed the website address of where you can get the newest version of FontRenamer (v2.16) on my Managing Fonts page.
I've recently come back from camping and have a few new tutorials translated. They now need to be assembled onto their web pages and uploaded and I hope to have that done soon. Some needed final animation steps added as I found out, to my surprise, that my laptop did not have Animation Shop installed. That is now remedied for my next camping trip. LOL Since I don't do a lot of animations, I never noticed before, but Futura's tutorials often have animation in them.
I also have a few calendars to make so best get my rear in gear!
My friend Sonel just changed her website address and I have a number of pages to change that on, as she often does my tuts and sends them to me and I then add them to my tut pages with a link to her. In the meantime, check out her new site. She translates Snakelady's tutorials as well and does a wonderful job. If she hadn't snagged Snakelady, I had been thinking of it, but she got to her first. Wonderful tuts! Sonel's site is here: http://members.lycos.co.uk/sonelscorner/
Have a great day!

New translation from new tutorial writer to my site

An Italian tutorial writer, Futura, asked me to translate her tutorials into English and they are beautiful! I've just done my first one for her, a Father's Day one called Festa del PapĂ .
Here's a small example:

I've included extra words with the tutorial so you can make it without a date on it, to use in other years. I've also included the font I used in case you want to make your own words for it. If you head to her site to see her tutorials, they are password protected, so you'll have to write her for the password. Or you can wait and see them here. LOL
I have a few stationery and wallpaper to make, I've done the headers, just have to get around to making the rest of the parts, such as backgrounds, etc. and get them assembled and uploaded. I hope to have that done soon.
Hubby wanted to go camping this weekend, sprung it on me as a surprise, and I was glad he changed his mind as it's still a bit chilly and we aren't really prepared yet. We are heading to the Toronto Zoo tomorrow, my health has improved enough with all of the weight loss (68 pounds so far) that I can do all the walking (it's huge)! Woohoo!!
I still can't eat many solid foods and I see another surgeon on June 5th to see what the problem is, as my original surgeon was extremely rude and unpleasant about helping me out. Apparently, the only thing he wants to hear from me is that I'm fine. Anything else is either ignored or criticized (after 6 months of no solid foods, apparently I'm being "too impatient", even though I was supposed to be able to eat solids after one month. Does that make sense? No, not to me either LOL).
Enough about me, at least I'm a lot healthier and continuing to improve in health all the time. Thanks to Atkins Protein shakes and bars (a little plug for my favorites). Have a great weekend everyone!

New translation-With Love Scrap Tag

I've got a new translation up, one of Marian's scrap tag tutorials, called With Love and it's for PSP.
Here's a small example:

I have some new stationery and wallpaper to upload today and I'm working on adding a new Mother's Day-Father's Day section to both the stationery and desktop wallpaper sections. I'm hoping to have it done later today. So hopefully, this won't be the last of me you see today! LOL Have a great one!

Stationery installation and use tutorial updated

I've just updated my tutorial Installing and Using Stationery to include tips and tricks for using OE stats in Windows Mail. You can find it here: http://www.ellies-treasures.com/statuse/statuse.html
Also, I've started formatting my newer stationery into eml files as well as the Incredimail imf files and the Outlook Express self-extracting exe file. The eml files can be used in Outlook Express and Windows Mail, possibly some other email programs but I can't guarantee that.
I hope you find the tutorial and the new format useful!

Update-new tutorial, desktop calendar

I have a new tag tutorial, a scrap tag called To Love . . .
Here's a small example

This tutorial can be done in any graphics program, including PSP, PhotoImpact, Photoshop, Photoshop Elements, any version.
I didn't make the matching stationery or wallpaper yet as I wanted to get the tutorial uploaded for Valentine Day, it's this Friday already! I'll be working on the stationery and wallpaper and get it up soon. I'll announce it here when I have it ready. I also put one more desktop calendar up. I'm still working on my Valentine and Love & Romance stationery and wallpaper pages and I'm adding what I've done as I go along. I've written two more tutorials, one for Fiesta Strip stationery and one for Stacked Border stationery, but don't have them ready to upload yet. Soon, I promise!

February Desktop Calendars, new Translated Tutorial, new stationery and desktop wallpaper

Hi everyone. I'm having a little bit of problems in my recovery from surgery but I'm back in gear and hopefully can start bringing you new stuff regularly again. And I have new stuff for you today! Desktop calendars, a new translated tutorial, stationery and wallpaper!
I have 2 desktop calendars ready for you for February. The previews can be used as mini calendars as well. Hopefully I'll have some blinkie calendars and scrap calendars for March when the time comes, I'm getting into the swing of things slowly.
For the tutorial translation, I translated Scrap Valentina created by Violettegraphic. I also created matching stationery and desktop wallpaper, both with a Valentine theme and without so you can use it all month if you like.
Example of the new tutorial:

New Stationery New Wallpaper
I'm revamping my Love & Romance stationery page as the page itself is old and the stationery on it is old, and they're not converted to OE yet, so I'm refreshing the look of the stationery and page as well. I'm working on that right now and hope to have it done today or tomorrow. I hope to be back within a few days with more stuff!
Have a great week.

Updates-new tutorial, new stationery, new wallpaper

I've finished a new background tile/stationery tutorial called Scratched Diamonds . It can be done in all the major graphic programs, PSP, PI, PS, PSE.
Here's a small preview of the tile and the stationery

I also have the Christmas Angel stationery and wallpaper up, the stationery and wallpaper to match the Fantasy tutorial I posted about just below, and also one extra set of stationery and wallpaper called I'm in the Mood for Love.
Find them all here: New Stationery New Wallpaper
I am having surgery tomorrow morning and if all goes well, I'll be out of the hospital in just a few days. So if you write and I don't respond, I'm still in the hospital or not quite recovered yet. Have a great week everyone!

New Translated tut-new permissions to translate-stationery fixed

I've received permission to translate the tutorials of Lamiagrafica so the tutorial Autunno (Autumn) I translated a couple of weeks ago is now uploaded. I made a mistake and asked the wrong person and Isa from Lamiagrafica wrote 2 days ago to let me know I had made a mistake, so all is well now. I've had the matching wallpaper and stationery uploaded for 2 weeks now but the stationery has the wrong info in the footer to credit the original writer and to add the link to my translation, so if you got it before, if you could please go and replace it with the corrected copy? Thanks. New Stationery
Here's a small preview of the tutorial

I have also been requested by a Dutch writer, Riet Kuisters, to translate her tutorials and I agreed. And of course Grafica Paola that I mentioned 2 weeks ago. I will hopefully be up to translating a number of tutorials from all of my ladies as soon after surgery (Nov 22) as I am recovered somewhat. I am translating for 13 writers now so I have many, many beautiful tutorials to choose from.
The index page for all of the writers I translate for is here.
It links to each writer's index page and also lists the home site of each writer.
Have a great day!

Update-desktop calendars, new stat, new wallpaper, translation news

I've just uploaded the November Desktop Calendars and also a new stationery with matching wallpaper. New Stationery New Wallpaper
Here's a small preview.

I did ask the tutorial writer if I could translate it but I've heard nothing back and that was a couple of weeks ago, so unless I hear back I won't be adding the translation to my site.
Edit: I found out I had asked the wrong person and the original writer contacted me and gave me permission. Her site is Lamiagrafica . My translated tutorial link is here: Autunno (Autumn).
I also got permission from another Italian tut writer to translate her tutorials so look for them soon here. The site is Grafika Paola.
