Updates-Jan & Feb calendars, new stationery and wallpaper, site news

Hi everyone. I haven't forgotten about you or abandoned my website! I didn't realize I hadn't posted last month about the new January calendars being up! And now the January and February calendars are up. I have lots of them for you.
I also finally made a new tag, the first one since getting on my new computer. To my dismay, Filters Unlimited is not showing up in my PhotoImpact where I make all my web stuff and wallpaper, but it is showing up in PSP, so I'm switching back and forth between the programs. What a pain in the you-know-what! I was sure that I had tested it right after getting on the new computer and it was there, but now it's not. I'll have to play with it to see if I can get it going, or else I'll have to switch to a newer version of PI (I prefer the older XL version).
So, as I was saying, I have a new tag called Winter Fun, one is a winter version and the other is a Christmas version, and I have made wallpaper, stationery and a desktop calendar with it. Go check it out, it's just adorable! I just love Lia's tubes, and she's FTU as well!
New Stationery New Wallpaper Desktop Calendars
I also have been busy converting some of the wallpaper pages and adding the netbook-tablet size of wallpaper to many of them. I'll keep plugging away on that until all of the pages are not only up (they aren't all up yet), but also have the png format and all of the sizes. Big job!
I also wanted to remind you that I'm limiting my new stationery to imf format for Incredimail and zip format for all of the others it will work for.
I'm also getting ready to edit and re-add the last of the old tutorials, the stationery ones. They are the only ones that are left to edit and add.

Updates-Desktop Calendars, stationery-new formats, wallpaper-new size

Hi everyone. I know I haven't posted for awhile but I've been busy! I got onto my new Win7 computer a couple of weeks ago and getting used to it, getting programs working, etc. I have a lot of December desktop calendars for you and some January ones already as well. Desktop Calendars
I rewrote myStationery Usage tutorial as I found some differences in Win 7, mainly because there's no Outlook Express. Windows Live Mail in Windows 7 can not use stationery. I am now offering my stationery in a zip file for Outlook and Thunderbird and any other program that uses stationery. You simply unzip it to the correct folder (as outlined in my tutorial). I may not offer my new and edited stationery in eml format any more as I have no way of making it without Outlook Express. But I am trying out a new free program calledMokum Mail Lite that can use Incredimail stationery and may allow me to make eml format, I have to figure out how to use it when I get a few minutes. For these reasons, at the moment, my newest stationery and ones I edit that have to be redone for copyright, etc, will be offered in Incredimail (imf), Outlook Express (self-extracting exe or zip format), Outlook and Thunderbird (zip format) and possibly eml format for Windows Vista Mail.
I have also added the netbook/tablet size wallpaper to theChristmas Wallpaper andWinter Wallpaper pages.

Halloween stationery and wallpaper back online, many new ones

Hi everyone. I've been working very hard the last few days and have myHalloween Wallpaper andHalloween Stationery pages back online. I didn't want to go another year without them being back for you. This means that all of my holiday and all of my seasonal pages are back online. Some of the Halloween items are also new so you'll find some of them on the New Stationery and New Wallpaper pages as well. Even those that aren't new are completely redone and fixed up to my more experienced standards than when I first made them. I also have a new October Desktop Calendar with a Halloween theme uploaded.

I have my new computer but have put off getting my things on it and using it till these pages were done. And - OK - for some reason I'm finding Windows 7 intimidating even thought I haven't tried it yet. Getting old I guess, hubby pointed out that I used to love trying new stuff, now I find myself resistant.
Find myself enjoying the comfortable more than the challenges! Kick me someone. LOL

Hi everyone. I've just finished and uploaded my re-edited Autumn Wallpaper and Autumn Stationery pages. Everything on the pages is either new or completely redone, and up to copyright compliant standards. I've also made and uploaded a new stationery, wallpaper, and November desktop calendar called "I Love Fall" using art ©Rachael Tallamy. I hope you like all of the new stuff!

New Stationery New Wallpaper Desktop Calendars
I want to get to work on the Halloween pages and get them back online but my new computer may come today and I have to clean out my email program, I have thousands of emails with attachments that I have to snag and delete the emails, so I probably should get to work on that. I love getting a new computer but don't quite love as much all of the backing up of program data, then reinstalling, getting it all back up and running to my specific needs, etc. Lots of work! And I always end up forgetting to install something until I need it then cursing and moaning as now I have to go and install something before I can continue. The end result will be worth it though, I'm getting a great new computer. But that's what I said about the last one till I found out it wasn't quite as great as I needed! Let's hope this one lives up to my expectations.

This was a tutorial I wrote while camping (no internet), only to find once I got home that neither the kit or the word art was available any longer, so no tut for this one. Some of the kit elements were pretty unique so I couldn't find another one that would suit the tut.
Now off to see whatever site chores need to be done. I've got a few more tuts to assemble and put online but maybe I'll get my Autumn and Halloween pages back online first. See what mood hits me.

Hi everyone. I finally got that tutorial online, Goodbye Summer. Went camping this past week and wrote another 3 but may not be able to use one as the kit is gone online. That's the problem in working blind, with no internet connection to make sure things are still available.

I wanted to take a moment here to pay tribute to my dear friend, Ellen "Ellie" Lennen, who passed away June 20, 2011. We were online friends for 6 years and were in contact every day, often many times a day, by email, and she was a wonderful person. I got an email from her on June 20 and didn't hear back again for days, so I started emailing her asking if she was ok, finally I started calling over a number of nights with no answer.
With a lot of trepidation and a heavy heart I started looking for her local newspapers last night and found her obituary, she died the same day she wrote me last. I don't know what happened but I am totally grief-stricken. And I am so sorry that I never got on the phone to her when she was alive, as I kept meaning to. So if you have an online friend you keep meaning to call, please do it. Someday it may be too late.
I will miss her so much and I'll never have the opportunity to hear her voice now.

Computer keeps crashing. Actually my monitor goes black with all dancing colored pinpoints of color. I think that's called colored static noise or something like that. Sometimes my screen comes back but all the buttons, etc are funny, sometimes it doesn't.
I've had to turn my computer off twice today and leave it off for awhile. Once I was almost done a wallpaper and had failed to save, of course the screen goes black and doesn't come back. GRRRR
Might be time to start thinking of a new computer!

2 July Desktop Calendar up-Canada Day stationery and wallpaper pages uploaded

Hi everyone. Been having computer problems and spent the last week in mortal combat with my computer to see who would win my big hard drive, the one with all of my kits, templates, etc on it. I WON!! Finally. And didn't lose too much either.
Anyway, I'm running behind on everything now.
I've just uploaded the first two July Desktop Calendars, both are for Canada Day or any patriotic Canadians. They aren't necessarily just for Canada Day.
I also put up my Canada Day wallpaper page, again that wallpaper can be used any time of year, and the matching stationery is up on my new Canada Day stationery page.
Tomorrow I'll work on some more Desktop Calendars and also work on getting my July 4th stationery page up (I thought it already was!). My July 4th wallpaper page is already up.

New July 4th tutorial for PSP and PhotoImpact

Hi everyone. Believe it or not I wrote 3 tutorials while I was gone camping last week! I just loved it, I've been wanting to get back to tut writing for quite awhile but kept thinking I had to get the rest of the site uploaded first. But then while I was gone just decided to get started. Kind of difficult as I had no internet connection and had to rely heavily on my memory (never a good thing) to make sure to use supplies where the sites were still open. It worked this time, they were all open!
I have the first one uploaded, it's called Proud to be an American and you can probably tell it's a July 4th tut, but if you take off the Happy 4th word art, you can just be Proud to be an American! I wrote it for both PSP and PhotoImpact.

I hope you like it! I'll try and get the other 2 done and uploaded in the next couple of days. One's a summer one and one is . . . well . . . just a girly one!
I have to get some desktop calendars started this week too as we are going camping again next week.I'll make up the stationery and wallpaper to match this tag also.

New page on my site - My Favorite Software

Hi everyone. I've just added a new page to my site where I will share info about my favorite software. It's a page I've been planning for awhile, in response to questions I've received from site visitors about what software I use most often. I have lots of freeware and very inexpensive shareware that I use every day.
I've just added my first entry to that page and hope to add to it soon.
I just found a wonderful new computer Calendar to replace an old outdated one I was using. It's called Efficient Calendar and you can find my review here. I just love it! Check out my info and see if you like it too!
Hopefully I'll be back to you soon with some new stuff. I have some summer tags made, I just need to make them into my "stuff"! LOL

Hi everyone. I've been hard at work the last few days making May Desktop Calendars for you and I've also added some new wallpaper and stationery as well.
I'm hard at work on my Spring pages and hope to have it ready and uploaded soon, but the newest stuff is on the New Wallpaper and New Stationery pages. Keep checking back because I add them to the Desktop Calendars, New Wallpaper and New Stationery as I go along and I don't always remember to tell you after each addition - I do remember to tell you when I've done a number of them!

I've started uploading some April Desktop Calendars, I have 4 up so far.I've also got 3 new stationeries and 2 wallpapers that aren't new but with more sizes and formats and one brand new one called It's Spring.

Hi everyone. I just uploaded 4 more desktop calendars for March (3 of them St Pat's).
On the New Wallpaper page, I've added the 3 St Pat's wallpapers from last year, but updated them by adding the largest size and offering them all in png format as well.
There's also one new wallpaper called Your Cup of Tea and a new matching stationery as well on the New Stationery page.

In the stationery section, I've redone the main Stationery Index page, I've uploaded the Love & Romance page with all redone or new stationery. I've also uploaded the Broken Hearted-Lonely stationery page as well, again with just the one on it but more to come soon.

Love & Romance Wallpaper page is uploaded

Hi everyone. A snowy blustery day here today, a good day to stay inside!
I've just uploaded my Love & Romance Wallpaper page, with lots of new and updated wallpaper. Some of it is on the New Wallpaper page but take a look at the Love & Romance page, most of it is so reworked that it's brand new!
I'll work on getting the matching Love & Romance stationery page done next. The hard part is done, making the tags and the tiles, which is what I do when I make the wallpaper, so now I just have to assemble it, convert it to Outlook Express and eml formats, do the thumbnails and upload it! Whew, come to think of it, that's a lot of work too! LOL

Hi everyone: I just reuploaded the Valentine Wallpaper section. I'm working on a Valentine tag today so I'll be adding a new Valentine wallpaper later today or tomorrow.
I've also uploaded a lot more Desktop Calendars, so I have tons of February calendars there and of course I have the January calendars there as well.
After I've finished with this new Valentine tag, I'll start working on the Valentine Stationery page so I can complete and upload it as well. Then it will be on to what? St Pat's I guess! Then Easter and Spring. The work never ends! LOL

January and February calendars, tuts back online

Woohoo, my first post of the new year.
Hi everyone. I haven't posted but I've been busy the last two weeks. I have almost all of the tutorials, both mine and translated, back online. The only translated tuts left to do are the stationery tutorials (which are all PSPIartes tuts) and my own stationery tuts. I left them till last as many of the tubes will have to be edited out and replaced with copyright safe ones.
I have my Creating Desktop Wallpaper tut left to redo and my Stationery Design tut. I have my frame tuts back up, 2 completely, one still has to be done in PSP and PS but the PI is done, and one has to be done for all programs yet. I think that is it for the tuts. Maybe I can start writing new tuts again once my site is whipped back into shape.

For January I also have a summer one for my overseas site visitors from the other side of the world! Keep checking back as I'm adding calendars almost every day as I work. Hi everyone, I have finished my Christmas Stationery and Christmas Wallpaper pages. I have made many new ones since the last time I posted. Go check them out!
I also have a new December Desktop Calendar for each new wallpaper I made. It's possible I may make another Christmas set or two (stationery and wallpaper) but I'm not sure at the moment.
What a huge job that was!
I already have my New Year pages done (unless I make more New Year stuff), so I'll be working on the Valentine pages next I guess!

Christmas Stationery page uploaded, lots of new stationery

I have my Christmas Stationery page up. If the stationery was significantly redone or new, they're also on the New Stationery page. At the bottom of the Christmas Stationery page I have some old stationery that I know people still like and use but I won't be redoing them or adding them in different formats. All of the older ones are in Incredimail and Outlook Express formats, and the newer ones are also in eml format.
Can't believe I'm getting my site back into shape, it's been a long, long time and so much hard work and so much more to do!

Christmas wallpaper page up, more December calendars, Wallpaper Tutorial up

December 14, 2010 My Christmas Wallpaper page is up. Some of the ones that are either new or completely redone have already been put on the New Wallpaper page as well as on the Christmas Page. Some of the ones that are kind of old and I don't want to redo and make into the other sizes are at the bottom of the page. Not all of the wallpapers on the Christmas page are on the New Wallpaper page.
I also just added another format. I've always been unhappy with the jpg format, especially for reds, it leaves what's called artifacts in the red (kind of like streaks and wave patterns). I just did some research and found out that you can use png files for wallpaper. Png files are so much nicer than jpg files. WinXP supports it natively and Windows Vista and Windows 7 doesn't, but there are workarounds. For those wallpapers in png format, I've provided both jpg and png. I've currently just got some png format on the Christmas page and only those with a significant amount of red in them. From now on, I'll make the wallpaper in both formats.
I've put my Wallpaper Tutorial on a page on it's own instead of on the Wallpaper Index page now, and it explains how to use and set wallpaper, including pngs, and links to some free third party programs that help set and cycle wallpaper and control your desktop icons as well. Note: this tutorial is not HOW to make wallpaper but how to use it.
I also have more December Desktop Calendars up. Wow you have a lot to choose from this month. Don't get spoiled now, it's only because I'm working on the wallpaper pages and making a desktop calendar for each one as I go along. I save them as layered templates so they can be reused another time, something I wish I'd done from the start, especially on reworking all of that old wallpaper, and having to redo things from scratch!
I also just redid the What's New page as I was tired of the old one. I was going to make it look like a blog but I kind of like this for now. I hope to start adding links in the two sidebars for my favorite sites, etc.
Now it's time to put together my Christmas stationery and get that page done. Cutting it close! I can't believe that Christmas is less than 2 weeks away!

New Thanksgiving Stationery and one Autumn one

I've just added the Thanksgiving Stationery section back with all new stationery. None of the old stuff was worth redoing and adding back in. They are on the Thanksgiving Stationery page and the New Stationery page. There is one new Autumn stationery on the New Stationery page as well. They are all in Incredimail, Outlook Express and eml formats.
I know my stationery is taking much longer than I expected to get back up again and for that I apologize. The job just seems overwhelming to me sometimes. I have to check the copyright of each stationery, redo the graphic most of the time adding copyrights, etc. Then I have to make it into wallpaper, incredimail stationery and from there convert it to Outlook Express Stationery and email format stationery. Upload all of the files then redo the webpages and upload them. Sometimes it just seems like more work than I can handle but I'm doing it as I can.
Again, I apologize for the delay. I've received many emails asking about the stationery so I know many of you are missing it. Any new stationery I make goes on the New Stationery page and is staying there for now. When I get the other pages redone and uploaded again, the new stuff will get sorted out into those categories again.

new October Desktop Calendars, new Autumn Desktop Wallpaper

I seem to post in streaks don't I? LOL
I have some new Desktop Calendars up for October. I did have some October calendars up but just added 5 more. I am also now starting to make desktop calendars and wallpaper in a larger size again, making it 4 sizes I make them in. I just got a 24" LED monitor and it's resolution is 1920X1080 so that's the new size. The large wide screen I made before of 1680X1050 works just fine though if you use the stretch function of your wallpaper loader and it looks perfectly ok.
I've also added one new wallpaper with an Autumn theme go the New Wallpaper page.
Our last camping trip of the season is next week and I'll have lots more time on my hands to get the rest of my site fixed and uploaded and updated. I do hope to make a few more Halloween desktop calendars and wallpaper and also some more Autumn and Thanksgiving wallpaper.
I'll let you know when that's done.

10 AM:Hi everyone. Busy summer for me so I’m not around much. Camping a lot!
Anyway, I’ve just uploaded 5 August Desktop Calendars and 5 new desktop wallpapers on the New Wallpaper page. Go take a look! I’m hoping to make a 6th one today if I have time, I have to go grocery shopping in a few minutes.
Contrary to popular opinion, not all women love to shop. I hate it! I like my 4 walls and computer, books, TV. I’m a genuine home-body. I can take the camping because I bring my home with me (and my computers and books!).
I’ll post if I put up a 6th calendar and wallpaper.

July Calendars up, as well as a new wallpaper

First of all, Happy Canada Day to my fellow Canadians. I hope you're having a great day! I have my July Desktop Calendars up and also one new wallpaper on the New Wallpaper page. I also have my July 4th Wallpaper page uploaded.
I'm sorry the tutorial uploads are so slow. I wasn't able to type for awhile, I had sprained a finger on my left hand and had to wear a wrist brace on the right for awhile so typing was out of the question. I have almost all of the background tutorials uploaded and all but one of the Basics tutorials. Once my wrists and hands heal up properly I'll be able to get the rest of them done more quickly. Summer is a busy time for me with going camping at least once every month but I promise I'll get to them as quickly as possible. I am itching to start writing new tutorials as well, so once I get the website whipped back into shape I want to get started on that. It's just all taking longer than I thought it would.
Some of you may have noticed my Blogspot blog was gone for a bit, Google had deleted it as I was swept up in a sweep where a "fuzzy filter" had pegged it as spam. I wrote to them and after about 2 weeks they apologized and put it back online. In the meantime I had opened a Wordpress blog which is attached to my own site. I think I'll keep both blogs, if something happens to one, then I still have the other one to fall back on. So on my main pages you will see buttons for both blogs, they will have identical information, as does the What's New page, I put the same info on all of them. Have a great day everyone!

I've got all of the site re-uploaded that I had done before today. So while there are still some links that don't work, due to my editing them before uploading, all of the sections are working now that were working yesterday. If you bookmarked the new fonts and stationery sections in the last couple of weeks, they will go back to using the same addresses as before. So you'll need to head to my home page and follow the links from there to bookmark them again.
Tomorrow I'll go back to editing and uploading the tutorials. It was a lot of work today but I'm so glad I did it.

Site moving again

Well, I'm making another move. I was having so much trouble with those free hosts that my site was spread across that I decided to go back to a paid host. I went with SuperGreen Hosting after doing a lot of research. They have a sterling reputation from what I've seen and so far, just this morning, I've had a few questions and got an immediate response via email with an offer of further help if needed. The site address will remain the same as I own the domain.
I've been uploading and the speeds are super fast. I'm very impressed! The only addresses that will change will be the Stationery and the Font sections, as they were on a host apart from my main site I had to change the address. They will now go back to the same address they had before.
Once I get all of this uploaded again, I'll be back to the same spot I was before today as I'm still updating my Tutorial, Wallpaper and Stationery sections for copyright content. I'll let you know when I get this all uploaded today. And then I'll go back to editing those sections and adding them to the site as I get them done. I'm working on the tutorials section, Background Tutorials at the moment (once I'm done this uploading) and I have most of those Background Tutorials done.

June desktop calendar up, some desktop wallpaper, and some tutorials

Hi everyone. I hope you're having a nice weekend?
I've just finished the June desktop calendars, I have 8 for you to choose from, 4 with graphics on them and 4 just the textured background and the calendar. I also have 11 new desktop wallpapers for you.
I have been quiet lately but that's because I'm working on editing all of my tutorials and getting them back online. I'm working on the Background tutorials at the moment as I thought they would need the least copyright editing, but some do and most are in the old style pages that I did when I first started, so I'm updating the look of the pages at the same time. I'm doing the tuts as I edit them and have found some that I've improved since I know so much more now! So it's all for your benefit.
It was slow going for the last couple of weeks as I was having trouble with the server that I was uploading to, about 90% of the files ended up with a socket error, a dead connection, etc most of them after uploading to 100% so then they would start over again and I'd have to sit right by the computer to check whether I wanted it to skip or overwrite. It was a huuuuge pain, but the last few days it has been excellent, very fast and no errors. I thought I was going to have to bail on this host and find another one but it's been very good now! Now it's the host that's hosting my stationery section I'm having trouble with. I suddenly can't log in there, says my credentials are wrong but they're the same ones I've been logging in with all along. That just started so I'll have to see how it goes. But I can't do anything about my stationery at the moment. I'm too busy trying to get the tuts online anyway! That's my way-too-lengthy story! LOL

Our first camping trip is coming up, second week of June. I always take my laptop and my netbook with me and usually work on site stuff while I'm gone so hopefully I'll get lots done then, with no distractions. No internet though so I can't look up copyright stuff, etc while I'm gone. Have to work on hubby to get some satellite internet or a Rocket Stick from Rogers! Maybe when we're done paying off our brand new trailer! We graduated from a pop-up tent trailer to a full-fledged travel trailer this year, with a Murphy Bed that folds up to the wall and a bathroom with WALLS!!! LOL

Hi everyone. My entire fonts sections is back online now. I just finished uploading all of the pages and testing the links. I'm not sure if the host will have to review all of the files again or not but if you get the review message, that's what's going on. I don't think they have to review each time but mentioning it just in case.

Another thing I wanted to mention is that a few people have mentioned to me that Norton's is blocking my site. I just wanted to assure you that my site is completely safe. I have AVG running on my computer at all times and I also Googled my sites and all of my page hits were rated trusted and safe by AVG in Google. I really dislike Norton's, it often gives false positives and it often causes computer problems. You couldn't pay me enough to use any of their products. My husband and I used to repair computers and the first thing we asked was, do you have Norton's on it? If the answer was yes, we uninstalled it and 9 times out of 10 the computer problems cleared up. Each to their own, but I don't like it! LOL

While I appreciate your input on anything else, please don't write to tell me I should love Norton's because you do. I won't, honest. Cross my heart!!

Anyway, back to the problem. Those who allowed my site through despite Norton's are having no problems with it. My webhost also checks all files for malicious content, which is why we had the long wait to have my site reviewed and approved. So no worries, my site is completely safe.

I think I may be working on the tutorial section next. Since my stationery and wallpaper pages have the New wallpaper and New Stationery pages up, I can put all my new stuff there till I get the rest of the sections edited and uploaded. That's going to take quite awhile as each copyright compliant graphic I used before has to be redone to add the copyright info and license info where applicable. The ones that I cannot use at all, I'll have to either get rid of or redo the entire stationery and wallpaper with new tubes/graphics.

And of course, being the end of the month, I have to get the May calendars done.

Whew, startin' to sweat, thinking about it!!

Good news, stationery and fonts sections working

Hi everyone. Well good news finally. My stationery sites and font sites have been approved and now you can view them. I stopped working on them till it was approved as I didn't want to waste my time editing pages for links if the site wasn't going to work out.So the stationery pages still have just the new stationery page working and the fonts have some of the pages working as I mentioned before.
Now that they're working again, I'll start adding the font pages as I edit them, probably starting tomorrow, as the font pages will be quicker to finish.
I'll then start editing and adding the stationery pages as they all have to be gone through for copyright issues. Adding links and credits to the graphics and then redoing the stationery before reuploading them. But the important one is the New Stationery and that one is up.

Minor snags in stationery and font pages

Ok, Ok, I know, more snags. LOL They don't tell you ahead of time but the host I used for my stationery and font pages manually review all of your files as soon as you upload your stuff. So if you go there now (if it's not done yet) you'll get a message saying the files are under review and it will be back in 2-4 hours. Apparently it takes much longer than that. I checked out their forum and some people are waiting 7 days or more. I hope this only happens when you first upload the site and not each time I upload a new file! So be patient if you go to the stationery and fonts pages. Once approved those sections will be back online. The rest of my site is somewhere different so I didn't run into that problem. Just those two sections. And once I add the tags section, it will be there too so it will be delayed as well.

Surprise! I have some of my stationery and some of my font pages back up! I found another webhost that will take those file formats so I've been working on it all day.
In the Stationery, I have the main index page and the New Stationery pages back online.
In the Fonts, I have the Fonts Index Page up, as well as New Fonts, #Fonts, Alphadings and Dingbats.
It's a huge job as I have to not only edit the page, I have to go to the counter service and change the addresses there as well for each page. Slow but steady! They have new addresses so if you've bookmarked these two sections previously, the old bookmarks won't work.

Don't forget, only a few buttons work so far, just the ones I mentioned above.

Note: I tried to open the stationery pages in Opera and hubby tried to open them in Firefox and it said they were checking for file content and to come back later, so far I've just got that page. But I've had no trouble in Internet Explorer getting into the pages.

Snag in getting stationery online

Hi everyone. Well I've run into a snag with my new host. I cannot upload any of the 3 formats of my stationery, imf, exe and eml. It won't allow that file type. So it's back to the drawing board. I'll have to find another host, one that allows these formats. Or not offer stationery any longer. I could offer it on my blog but it would be one at a time as it's made, not in categories like it is now. At least that's the way I'm thinking right now. If I don't make stats I can still write tutorials and offer the desktop wallpaper and calendars, possibly the fonts. I'll have to think about this.
Let me know how you feel about it. I've been making stationery so long I don't know how I'll feel about stopping!Email button at the bottom if you want to tell me how you feel about it. If you know of any free webhost that allows uploading of these 3 formats, could you let me know please?
On another note, I found out that the problem with the previous webhost had nothing to do with me. I ran across the webhosting review site and there are dozens of people on there all complaining about the same thing. Most of us have been with One Dollar Host for 3 years or more. They all had the same thing happen, the webhost site went down for a day, came back online that night and that day all of these people's websites disappeared. No response to any messages sent. Everyone is royally teed off to say the least and most are either giving up or switching to a new host, and just writing off the money they already paid for webhosting. I was paid up for 3 years but still had another full year to go on it. I know I'll never see a refund of that money so I'll just write it off.
I did just upload John's wallpaper and my New Wallpaper page which has all of my newest wallpaper on it.

Hi everyone. Well I took the plunge and transferred my domain to a new webhost. Let's hope this one works out better. All of my site addresses are the same as before. I will not be offering fonts any more as this may have been the problem with the last webhost. I don't know since they wouldn't answer me. I've got a start in reuploading all of my pages but I don't have the tutorials, desktop wallpaper and stationery pages up yet as I will have to comb through those for copyright issues before uploading them. I will only reupload my newer stationery and wallpaper, the ones I have copyright info on. I won't be reuploading all of the translated tutorials either as some of those tags have copyright issues, both with using more than one artist per tag and not having the artists' copyrights on them. They are impossible to fix due to those reasons and I'm not taking a chance on losing another site. I do hope to start writing tutorials again and will keep you posted about that. I'll also keep you posted when I add the rest of the pages to my site as I go along. Thanks for sticking with me! Hugs, Ellie

Hi everyone. I'm still working on trying to get my site back. My webhosts have refused to answer any emails and phone calls I've made, not one message back. I have found a free webhost that I can upload some of my site too, it's not unlimited like the one I had but I don't trust paying for one again and them taking my money and removing my site without the courtesy of any answers. I needed to simplify anyway, I had way too much there and trying to make it all copyright compliant was a nightmare, considering the foreign tutorials I translated and the older stuff I had. I just want to see today if I can get ahold of someone at my webhost and if not, I'll sign up with the new host and see about transfering my domain over. I'll keep you posted. my site is not gone for good

Hi everyone. Many of you have been writing me and asking about my site. It's not gone for good, my hosting company made some kind of error and made my account inactive, possibly thinking my account expired in March 2010 instead of March 2011. That's the only thing I can think of. I've contacted their customer service and he said my account is inactive. I said why? He said it expired, I've only renewed for 3 years. I said right, that was in 2008 and this is 2010, 2 years. Oh yeah, he says, I see that now. So he said he'd get in touch with the right people and let them know and I'd hear back in 24-48 hours. That was on Friday. Being a holiday weekend I don't expect to hear back from them till at least Tuesday. But I'll be back! I'm only hoping they don't delete my site before that, at the moment I can still connect with my ftp program so I know the files are still there. Wish me luck!
Thanks to those who wrote and inquired about it, I'm glad you're missing me!

I've just added another St Patrick's themed desktop calendar for March and 3 April Calendars. Wow I'm ahead of the game! Woohoo!!

I've also added 4 new stationery and wallpaper. One is a St Pat's themed one called Fairie Lucky, featuring art by Laurie Leigh. The rest are Fairy themed, one with the most adorable cat looking at fairies, called The Heart Sees, featuring art by Sue Dawe. One is a beautiful Fairy and a Rainbow featuring art by Linda Biggs and is called Somewhere Over The Rainbow. The last one is one called My Palace of Love featuring a fairy by Molly Harrison and it's so pretty!

We are off to the movies in about an hour and a half to see Avatar in 3D. I'll try and get these done before and after the show but if I poop out, I'll have to finish them tomorrow. Always running against the deadline. I must like it or something. LOL Have a Happy New Year's Eve!

Not sure if I'll get another done tomorrow or not. It takes me forever, about an hour or more to pick the perfect tube, then another few hours creating the tag (cause it has to be just PERFECT! LOL). Then another couple of hours to assemble the stats in all the formats and the wallpaper in all the sizes.
Whew, gettin' tired just thinkin' of it! Think I need a nap! LOL

Redoing entire site and desktop calendars for January up

Hi everyone! I've been working on my site. Once it's been overhauled I can start adding all the new stuff I've made for the past year. I'm working through the site and deleting and/or repairing-replacing old stationery and wallpaper. Adding the new sizes and formats I've been doing, like the large wide wallpaper and eml format stationery and in some cases, even Outlook Express stationery that never got made. I'm adding the copyright info and deleting stuff that's not copyright compliant. It's a huge job and I've been procrastinating too long. I've purchased hundreds of dollars of tubes over the past few months and I have to get that copyright info on my stuff. I've been putting off even updating the site, as you know, because I knew I had to do this job and it was so huge I felt overwhelmed. Well, I grabbed the bull by the horns and started. It's slow going because I have to redo all the graphics, stationery, wallpaper, in some cases spending hours looking for the artist of a tube to find out if it's allowed or not, adding the credits, and in many cases, redoing the look of the graphic as I can do so much better now than when I made the older stuff. And if I think it's ugly and can't be fixed, out it goes!!! So keep checking back, I won't be putting them on the New Stationery and New Wallpaper pages, there will just be too many. I'm not replacing blends and scenic stuff at the moment, just stuff with tubes. So far I've completed the Angels and Autumn categories in both stationery and desktop wallpaper and I'm working on the Fairies. That's a biggie as so many of them are made with tubes and also my favorite section, so I have lots to work on. I'm averaging about 2-3 wallpaper-stationery combos a day and that's if I already know who the artist is. I'll be working on it for weeks so keep checking back.

On another note, I already have the January 2010 Desktop Calendars made, can you believe it! They're uploaded and ready for you here. Have a great Holiday season and keep checking back for all my new goodies!

HUGE update to Great Beginnings page now uploaded

Well, it's been a long time but I've been hard at work the last couple of weeks, on the Great Beginnings page. I thought it would never be done, what a job! LOL I've split the major sections into separate pages as the page was getting too long for easy browsing. The Great Beginnings index page is still in the same spot, here. The pages I've added to are the Tutorials page, the PSP English tutorials, I've added 322 new links to that section and checked the links with a link checker. I also added 1297 (that's not a typo, that's one thousand two hundred and ninety-seven!!) new links to the Scrapbooking page in the Scrap Blogs section and the Scrap-All The Other Stuff sections. The Scrap Blogs section has a subsection at the bottom for Blogs with Freebie Lists and Blog Train Stations. The link checker I used, Xenu Link Sleuth, is excellent and free! But it will only flag the link as dead if it leads nowhere, like a page not found. If it leads to one of those search pages that seems to take the place of expired domains recently, or a redirect page, or a page saying "I've closed my site down" or "I've moved my site", it won't flag it as a dead link. If you find any dead links, would you email me please and let me know? Also, if you have a site or blog you'd like to see added to my pages, or know of a good one to add, email me as well, and I'll go check it out. I hope you enjoy your surfing, I know I did (except not recently, too much like a job LOL) Once I recover from this marathon, I'll start adding to the new sections I've set up, such as Fonts, Blogger layouts, etc, also I have more links to add to existing sections. But I need a rest now. LOL I also have a number of tags that I haven't made into stationery and wallpaper yet, I hope to get to that soon. I've been buying up the tube companies so I have hundreds of copyright safe tubes to use and to replace in some of my existing stationery and wallpaper. Lots of new stuff coming up. After my rest. Great Beginnings page-getting there!

Hi everyone, I'm getting there with the page. I've finished checking the English PSP tutorial section, adding more as I go along with my terrible surfing addiction. LOL I'm now halfway done the scrapbooking section. I'm waiting till I have this section done before uploading the entire thing, because I split the major sections into new pages and it's easier to upload all at once. I'm glad you're all being so patient. I'll be done soon!
I did have to put a no select script on the page as I've seen that page stolen so many times I can't believe it. Rather than just send people to my page, people are copying and pasting the entire page onto their websites, without a word of credit for my site. I'm pretty easy-going about this kind of stuff but this page takes me forever to work on, as you can see. You can still right click on the page if, for instance, you want to right click and open a link in a new tab or a new window. But no more copying the entire page and pasting it into other websites or emails.
Anyway, I hope to have the page done by this weekend and uploaded, but you know what happens to all great plans. LOL Keep your fingers crossed.

Great Beginnings page taking longer than expected

Hi everyone. I'm sorry the Great Beginnings page is taking longer than I expected to check before uploading. The job is huge to begin with and I thought the worst part was over in inputting the links. But for each dead link I find I have to check it out, see if I can find the site before deleting the link entirely, and then with my ADHD problems, I keep going off on a tangent. I may find the site or another one while looking for it, and think ok, I'll just add that one to the page too! Then of course I have to go and download kits, look up tuts and it just goes from one thing to another. I've almost got the PSP English tuts all checked, I'm up to the P's! LOL Since I'm splitting the page into various categories, as it's got too long for easy browsing, I'll upload the tuts section page as soon as I'm done with it. I hope it's worth the wait!! I think it is! LOL

Huge update to Great Beginnings Page coming up

Hi everyone. Just got back from a 10 day camping trip and I spent half of it in the trailer adding over 1300 links to my Great Beginnings page, over 200 in PSP English tuts and over a thousand in the Scrap Designer's section. I've just got to run it through a dead links checker and I'll upload it in a day or two. I didn't have the net while camping so couldn't check the links as I went along. The Scrap Designer's update was so overwhelming that I kept putting off updating the page but I just took the bit between my teeth and went to work! Nose to the grindstone, and all that. LOL Checking the links and going back and forth deleting and updating is now picnic either with that many links to check!
I'll let you know when I have it uploaded. Then it's back to work on updating all of my stationery and wallpaper pages. I've bought a ton of tubes and have to make my stuff as copyright compliant as I can.

I'm still around!

Hi everyone. I know it's been ages. I'm still around though! I've been through a huge creative slump since my surgery a year and a half ago. I swear they punctured my creative balloon and drained it all out! Then I got a bad virus on my computer and it took a month to get it going again. The virus changed every single exe (executable) file on my computer to a virus and every time I got rid of it and then clicked on an exe file to reinstall a program I got reinfected. The virus is called Virut and it's a bad one! Just got my computer back and not even everything installed yet and my husband had a heart attack and had to go for surgery. He's doing great now and I hope to get back to creating soon. I reinstalled Photoshop today, it was the last graphic program I had to reinstall as I reinstalled PSP, Photoshop Elements and PhotoImpact a while ago. Now I just have to set PhotoImpact's presets up and I'm back in business.
Thanks for all of your emails expressing concern about me and what's going on. I appreciate all of your kind thoughts.

I'm so sorry but, due to some intense back pain (in my right shoulder blade) when I'm at the computer the last few days, my December calendars will be a few days late. I'll get them finished as soon as possible. I tried taking yesterday off to heal it, and it felt better last night, but as soon as I got at the computer this morning, it came right back. I do have the components for them done, just a matter of assembling them. I also have some very nice Winter and Christmas stats and desktop wallpaper to assemble and get up online.
